Opening Scene Naration - Miss Miller
Opening Scene Narration
My opening scene narration consists of a teenage girl and boy on their way to a party with the main character being the teenage blond girl. The train has a maximum of 15 people on and is set in the evening/night. There is a panning shot so the audience can be aware of the surroundings and the number of people in the train, there is also a mid shot of the girl and her group of friends so the audience can understand that she is not alone and be prepared for what is going to happen next. As the characters are on the train there is a mid shot showing the characters faces and their conversation and a reaction shot when they are having a conversation. Then, when the the boy leaves the train there is non diegetic creepy sound to build the suspense and let the audience know the teenage girl is in danger.
As the train carries on with just the girl in the carriage, there is a point of view shot of the girl looking down the carriage and showing that she is alone. Then, there is non diegetic sound of a phone ringing and a point of view shot showing the victim on the phone, then there is a transition between when she is off the phone and then when she looks up and see's the killer sitting in front of her.
The girl starts to look around and pressing the 'open' button trying to open the doors but nothing happens, as she looks up she See's a masked man looking back at her and she falls back. There is then a small chase scene on the train when the killer is following the victim whilst she is trying to get off the train, during this there is dramatic music and fast shots. Then there is a long shot showing the killer push the victim over, then there is a point of view shot when the blonde female victim is looking at the killer before he 'gets' her.
Then, there is a transition to show that the victim is waking up on her friends shoulder showing that the whole thing was a dream. Then there is a reaction shot to show her face when she see's the killers mask on the train seat. There is then a long shot showing the two characters running away off of the train. Then there is a zoom in shot of the mask on the train seat.
